The Green Light for Mental Health service evaluation has now been completed and each of the HPT localities (except Southamton) have developed a local action plan. A full report will be available soon via the PCP website.
A stakeholders day was held on 14th March during which the action plans were shared, groups discussed a range of issues and some service users gave a talk about their experiences.
Ken Holland (the National Lead for Green Light) helped us to develop a Hampshire Wide action plan that will be shared with commisioners and senior managers from HPT and the Local Authority.
We sincerely hope that the principles of Green Light for Mental Health will become increasingly integral to our services and that the collaborative working between learning disability and mental health teams will continue to develop.
Thank you to all who have been invovled in the project.
Jane Kellett
Green Light for Mental Health Project Worker.

The work of Hampshire EMLD is being described in a new book published by Trentham Ltd. The book should be out in April. Please see the release attached for more details.
Also the EMLD project, has developped a short film called "I put my foot down", about two people from BME background with learning disabilities. The aim of this film is to explain the terms 'learning disability' in a positive way but also to serve as a starting point for discussion or debate; it could also be used as part of muticultural awareness training for self/advocacy groups. If you are interested in using it that way or would like more details on the film, including booking a presentation for your group, please contact Mrs Dominique Rawlings at dominique.rawlings@hants.gov.uk
