I am currently carrying out a service evaluation called Green Light for Mental Health.

The project involves supporting mental health and learning disability services to collaboratively complete a self assessment that identifies how well we meet the mental health needs of people with learning disabiliites.

The project covers Hampshire (not Portsmouth and Southampton), commenced in June 07 and is due to be completed in March 08. 

In addition to the local self assessements I am also interviewing a range of stakeholders such as service users and carers.  Their thoughts and experiences will be important for the final report.

The project will end with each locality developing an action plan that aims to improve mental health services for people with learning disabilites.
